Fee Notes

How Mercari fees apply

Mercari's fees page says that effective January 6, 2025, a 10% selling fee applies to the combined amount of the item price and buyer-paid shipping for new and updated listings. That is why this calculator includes buyer-paid shipping in the fee base instead of treating it as a neutral pass-through.

Mercari's fee-structure FAQ repeats the same seller-side rule and says sellers pay a flat 10% selling fee on the completed item price and buyer-paid shipping under the new structure. This page is intentionally limited to that current seller-side baseline rather than older pre-update listing behavior.

Mercari also says no separate payment processing fee applies to new or updated listings after January 6, 2025. This calculator therefore shows only the 10% selling fee. Cash-out charges such as Instant Pay and direct deposit exceptions are not selling fees and are not included in the order-level estimate.

How To Use

How to use this calculator

  1. Enter the item sale price and any buyer-paid shipping so the calculator can model Mercari's documented 10% fee base correctly.
  2. Leave quantity at 1 for a single listing sale, or increase it if you want a simple repeated-order estimate using the same sale assumptions.
  3. Use this page only for Mercari's current seller fee on new and updated listings. It does not model legacy pre-update listings, optional cash-out fees, returns, or shipping-label cost decisions you may absorb separately.
