Fee Notes

How Etsy fees apply

The fee side of this page mirrors Etsy's documented US rules: $0.20 per listing renewal, 6.5% transaction fees on sale price plus buyer-paid shipping, and Etsy Payments processing at 3% plus $0.25 per order.

Optional Offsite Ads are modeled the same way as on the main Etsy fee page: 15% standard or 12% reduced on sale price plus buyer-paid shipping, capped at $100 per attributed order.

Profit is calculated after Etsy fees, item cost, seller-paid shipping cost, and packaging cost. Margin remains net profit divided by revenue, not divided by payout or by your costs.

How To Use

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does packaging cost count in the Etsy profit result?

Yes. Packaging cost is treated as part of your per-item order cost alongside item cost and seller-paid shipping cost, then multiplied by quantity before net profit is calculated.

Does this Etsy profit calculator use official Etsy fee rates?

Yes for the documented US baseline on the page: the $0.20 listing fee, the 6.5% transaction fee, the 3% plus $0.25 Etsy Payments processing fee, and the published Offsite Ads rates are all sourced from Etsy policy or help documentation linked below.

Is profit margin based on revenue or payout?

Revenue. This page keeps profit margin defined as net profit divided by revenue, which makes the ratio stable across different fee mixes and order sizes.
